Leather can go so wrong on me, but the castoreum in this is handled with such care—it feels animalic and warm without ever turning into a barnyard. The cedar and guaiac give it a dry, smoky backbone that lasts for hours on my skin, and it shifts beautifully as the day goes on.
The iris and ambrette open soft and powdery, but the leathery castoreum kicks in fast and keeps it from feeling too polite. Wore it on a rainy commute and caught myself sniffing my wrist for hours—it's warm, woody, and weirdly comforting. Perfect for anyone who wants a leather that doesn't shout.
