The cake and almond notes are surprisingly well-balanced with the frankincense, so it never tips into overly sweet territory. I’ve had it on for six hours now and the vanilla-rum drydown is still cozy without being cloying.
The rum and benzoin come through beautifully on dry-down, turning what could be a simple dessert scent into something warm and almost smoky. I've had the bottle for two weeks and the sillage is impressive without being loud, and it lasts a solid eight hours on my skin.
I wore this to dinner and kept catching that rum-and-frankincense dry-down hours later—it's the kind of warm, woody depth that makes you want to bury your nose in your own wrist. The benzoin keeps it from turning too sweet, which is exactly what I hoped for.
