The hazelnut here isn't sweet or gourmand at all, more like roasted nut sitting on dry oak and fig leaf. Two sprays lasted a full workday on my skin, which never happens with fougères on me.
The violet leaf keeps this from smelling like a dessert, which is exactly what I wanted. It dries down to something warm and woody on my skin and lasts a good six hours.
I was worried the violet leaf would make this too sharp, but it settles into this creamy fig and vetiver drydown that hangs close to the skin for hours. The mandarin on top keeps it from feeling heavy even in warm weather.
