I was worried the pink pepper and ginger opening would feel too sharp, but it settles into this warm guaiac wood and benzoin base within twenty minutes. Wore it to dinner and my wife kept leaning in to ask what I had on.
The ginger and pink pepper hit first and then it settles into this warm leather and sandalwood drydown that lasts a full workday on my skin. Two sprays on the neck was plenty.
I was worried the iris and leather combo would feel too heavy, but the benzoin keeps it soft and almost creamy on my skin. Six hours in, the sandalwood and vetiver are still humming along nicely. Genuinely one of the best drydowns I've worn this year.
