Beschrijving Le Cri de la Lumière is een prachtige, uitgestrekte aldehydische bloemengeur met een duidelijk modern gevoel. Met een kern van orriswortel en roos volgt Le Cri het beproefde pad van iconen als Chanel No 5 en Arpège. Ondanks deze klassieke invloeden voelt de geur nooit gedateerd aan, misschien door het sublieme ijzige effect van de aldehyden of de metaalachtige klank van de roos. De dichtstbijzijnde verwant is waarschijnlijk Chanel No 18, een boutique-exclusief opgebouwd rond een centraal akkoord van roos, orris en ambrette, hoewel Le Cri iets formeler aanvoelt.

The rose and orris together smell like clean skin rather than a bouquet, which I wasn't expecting. It stays close for the first hour, then the musk and woods creep in and it just gets warmer. Wore it to a dinner and kept catching it on my scarf the next morning.

I expected the aldehydes to hit sharp, but they soften into a powdery orris and rose within twenty minutes, which is lovely. Projection is quieter than I'd like for the price, though it clings close to the skin for a good six hours.
