Beschrijving Belladonna is een zoetgeurend gif met een rijke traditie in Italië die teruggaat tot de oudheid, toen Livia het gebruikte om keizer Augustus te vergiftigen. Letterlijk vertaald als "mooie vrouw", druppelden middeleeuwse Italiaanse vrouwen het in hun ogen om hun pupillen te verwijden, omdat ze geloofden dat dit hen aantrekkelijker maakte; dit veroorzaakte hallucinaties, of in Wicca-termen, een "vliegspreuk". Het wordt vaak geassocieerd met agressieve vrouwelijke seksualiteit en werd door Noord-Italiaanse heksen (streghe) gebruikt om verleidingsspreuken op mannen uit te oefenen. The tuberose and violet water combo is way more wearable than I expected, not nearly as heavy as some white florals I've tried. It settles into this soft plum and orris drydown that lasts through a whole workday. Genuinely one of the best blind buys I've made.

The cognac and honey notes give this a warmth that keeps the tuberose from going full funeral-home floral on me. Lasted a solid eight hours on skin, and the plum in the opening is genuinely juicy rather than syrupy. Easily the most interesting thing in my rotation right now.
