Description A warm and spicy fragrance that harmoniously associates the leather main note to sandalwood and oud as well as rose, iris, and patchouli notes.
This opens with a big saffron-and-leather punch that I wasn't expecting, but once the rose and iris settle in it turns creamy and warm. Six hours later I can still smell the patchouli and sandalwood on my wrist, which is rare for me. The castoreum gives it a slightly animalic edge that I actually lo
I was worried the saffron would make this too sharp, but it just warms up the rose and violet beautifully. On my skin the patchouli and oud come through after about an hour, and it lasts a full workday.
The leather here is smooth rather than harsh, and it wears close to the skin for hours. Patchouli and a soft rose keep it from going full saddle shop on me, which I was worried about. Easily the best blind buy I've made this year.
