Description When Stina, a burgeoning writer, decamps to her mother's summer house for the winter to write a book, her trip overlaps for one day (and one steamy night) with a brawny fisherman named Ulv. While she struggles to gain traction with her novel, her fixation on the mysterious seafarer results in countless unsent letters, the contents of which chronicle the spiraling psyche of lust and longing. Set on the desolate west coast of Denmark during the tourist off-season, Every Storm a Serenade is a meditative masterwork that will lull you with its well-designed sentences and intimate tone.

This is the reformulated second version of Every Storm a Serenade, released in 2025.

The seawater accord and ambergris give it this weird, salty-anchovy vibe that somehow works perfectly with the spruce—like standing on a foggy dock with wet pine needles underfoot. It's lasted a solid six hours on my skin, which is better than most of my other woodsy scents.

Avery X. ★★★★★

The spruce and eucalyptus hit sharp and green at first, but it’s that seawater accord underneath that keeps pulling me back — it dries down into something salty and warm, like a coastal forest after rain. I’ve worn it for a week straight and the longevity on my skin is impressive, easily eight hours

Bought this on a whim for the spruce and eucalyptus notes, and it genuinely smells like a rain-soaked forest meeting the coast—the seawater accord is subtle but keeps it from being too woodsy. It lasts a solid six hours on my skin, and I keep catching whiffs of that ambergris warmth hours later.
