Description Early morning October 1175, Calabria, Italy
The cool night air dissipates under the sun's first rays. The ripe citrus in the field has absorbed all the water of the morning dew and the farmers are ready to work on the misty green fields, speckled by the bright yellow of the citron. They leave their woody cabin and take a deep breath.
L'Etrog is a beautiful woody-citrus experience begging to accompany a sunny day or a dynamite outfit. Tart lemon and sweet mandarin burst forth and slowly meld with the cedary-green base that carries the citrus through and into the heart and base of this exceptional fragrance.

The cedrat and mandarin hit first and it smells like peeling a real orange, not candy. Two sprays on my wrist lasted a full workday, which surprised me for a citrus. It's bright without being sharp, and the cedar keeps it from smelling like cleaning product.

The myrtle leaf gives it a green, almost bitter edge that I wasn't expecting from a citrus scent. It fades on my skin within two hours though, which is short even for an eau de cologne. Nice while it lasts, just wish the labdanum and cedar held on longer in the drydown.
