Description Le Cri de la Lumière is a gorgeous, sprawling aldehydic floral with a distinctly modern feel. With a core of orris root and rose, Le Cri treads the time-honored path of such icons as Chanel Nº 5 and Arpège. In spite of these classical influences, the fragrance never feels dated, perhaps due to the sublime icy effect of the aldehydes or the metallic twang of the rose. Its closest relative is probably Chanel Nº 18, a boutique exclusive built around a central accord of rose, orris and ambrette, although Le Cri feels a touch more formal.
