Description A fragrance with an earthy scent. The blend starts with fresh top notes of sweet and bitter orange and takes you to a complex smell of agarwood/oud.
I was worried the orange notes would make this too bright, but they just soften the opening for twenty minutes before the frankincense and cedar take over. That resinous drydown lasts a solid eight hours on my skin, and the black pepper keeps it from ever feeling heavy.
The frankincense and black pepper give this a cold, churchy opening before the Assam oud warms up on skin. It's potent stuff, one spray on the wrist lasted me a full workday. The bitter orange keeps it from ever feeling heavy.
