Beskrivning Belladonna är en sött doftande gift med en rik tradition i Italien som går tillbaka till antiken när Livia använde det för att förgifta kejsar Augustus. Namnet betyder bokstavligen "vacker kvinna", och medeltida italienska kvinnor droppade det i ögonen för att vidga pupillerna, då de trodde att det gjorde dem mer attraktiva; detta orsakade hallucinationer, eller i wicca-termer, en "flygförtrollning". Det förknippas ofta med aggressiv kvinnlig sexualitet och användes av norditalienska häxor (streghe) för att lägga förförelsebesvärjelser på män. The tuberose and violet water combo is way more wearable than I expected, not nearly as heavy as some white florals I've tried. It settles into this soft plum and orris drydown that lasts through a whole workday. Genuinely one of the best blind buys I've made.

The cognac and honey notes give this a warmth that keeps the tuberose from going full funeral-home floral on me. Lasted a solid eight hours on skin, and the plum in the opening is genuinely juicy rather than syrupy. Easily the most interesting thing in my rotation right now.
