The peppery juniper and bitter orange hit immediately but it's the guaiac wood and amber drydown that really lingers for hours. I took a chance on this because of the discounted damaged box and honestly the bottle inside was totally fine.
The box may be dented but the bottle inside is flawless, and that juniper berry note over the guaiac wood is exactly the smoky-forest scent I was hoping for. I've worn it three days straight and the amber drydown lasts well into the evening.
I was bracing for a letdown after the box mishap, but once I sprayed it, the juniper berry and angelica root cut through with a green, almost peppery brightness that dries down to a warm, resinous amber.
