The lemongrass and bergamot hit bright and fresh, but it’s that orris butter smoothing everything out that really got me. Wore it through a hot afternoon and the jasmine and sandalwood settled into something soft and elegant without ever turning powdery or loud.
The drydown on this is what sold me—the orris butter keeps the citrus from turning sharp, and the sandalwood lingers for hours without going powdery. I sprayed it on a hot afternoon and it felt like stepping out of the sun into shade.
The opening is a bit sharp for my taste, but the dry-down melts into a soft, creamy sandalwood that lasts well into the evening. I do wish the jasmine were more noticeable, but the orris butter gives it a lovely, powdery finish that feels elegant without being heavy.
