The opening blast of sap and cut stems genuinely smells like mowing the lawn on a summer morning, and it dries down to a soft, rooty green that lasts most of the workday on my skin. The buchu note gives it a slightly sharp, almost herbal edge that keeps it from feeling too sweet.
I wasn’t sure how a chlorophyll-heavy chypre would wear, but the sap and Buchu notes give it this almost dewy freshness that lasts well past the initial spray. The green roots and stems come through as sharp yet smooth, not at all like a generic cut-grass scent. Five stars for feeling truly alive.
