The benzoin and vanilla keep the birch leaves from going too sharp, so it wears soft after about an hour. I've been reaching for this on cold evenings and the amber lingers on my scarf the next morning.

I was worried the tobacco and leather would feel heavy, but the vanilla and benzoin soften it into something warm and resinous. Wore it to dinner and kept catching it on my scarf hours later.

The birch leaves give this a dry, almost smoky edge that keeps the sweetness in check, and the tobacco comes through beautifully after about an hour on skin. I wore it to a dinner in November and could still smell the benzoin and sandalwood on my scarf the next morning.
