The Balkan tobacco absolute keeps this from being just another sugary vanilla scent, and the almond note in the opening is gorgeous. Wore it to dinner and could still smell the tonka bean on my scarf the next morning.
I was expecting a heavy sweet gourmand but the rose absolute keeps it surprisingly elegant. On me it opens with that almond and orange blossom before the vanilla absolute takes over hours later. My partner keeps leaning in when I wear it, so that's a good sign.
The almond and orange blossom opening is softer and more floral than I expected, then it dries down into this creamy vanilla and tonka base. I've been wearing it to dinner and it lasts a solid six hours on my skin.
