The article on natural versus synthetic ingredients finally gave me a clear framework for something I'd only guessed at before. It's dense but readable, and the layout makes flipping between sections easy. I've already reread the piece on raw materials twice.
The deep dive into natural versus synthetic materials in this issue is exactly the kind of nerdy perfume talk I crave, and the essays manage to stay engaging without getting overly technical. It's a hefty read for a magazine, but I found myself underlining passages and coming back to it days later.
I wasn't sure a magazine could hold my attention cover to cover, but the deep dive into how natural and synthetic ingredients are actually used in perfumery kept me flipping pages for days. The Spring/Summer 2018 issue feels substantial, and I’ve already gone back to reread two articles.
